SecInfo2In our continuing efforts to keep your account(s) secure, Security Federal Savings Bank will deploy a new fraud prevention service on June 8, 2016.  The new service will implement voice calling, emails, & texts.  These features will improve card fraud detection to help benefit you.  When potential fraud is detected, you will receive an automatic email notification, with the option to reply “fraud” or “no fraud”.  One minute after the email, you will receive a text alert, which also has the “fraud” or “no fraud” option.  If there is no response received from the email or text, you will then receive an automatic phone call to confirm or deny fraud.  You will also be given the option of speaking to a fraud analyst.  These messages will NEVER ask for your PIN or your account number.  E-mails will operate 24/7, texting will operate between the hours of 7 A.M. and 9 P.M., and voice calling will operate between the hours of 8 A.M. and 9 P.M.

The emails will be from and will have the Bank’s logo included in the message.  You may respond to the email with “fraud” or “no fraud” using the hyperlinks in the email.

Text messages will be listed from the “Fraud Center”.  The message will instruct you on how to reply to confirm fraud or no fraud.  Text messages are sent free and you are automatically opted into the service.  No enrollment is required.  You may opt out at any time by responding “STOP” to a text message.

Voice calls will not have a name displayed for caller ID.  The automated dialing will promote faster contact and resolution.  Calls will only start if no response is given to emails or text messages within a defined time limit.  You may confirm transactions with the automatic system or speak to an analyst.  You will need to verify your billing zip code.  You can review up to five transactions and will have the option to hear the merchant name for each potential fraudulent transaction.  If you confirm fraudulent activity you will be connected to a Fraud Analyst.
