Chili! Chili! Chili!

Security Federal Savings Bank had an Employee Chili Cook-Off! With eleven entries, the judges and employees had a hard time picking the winners. All of the Bank's employees and some hand picked judges test tasted all of the chilies and all of the soups in the "Other" category. And the results are:  Judges' Choice for Chili goes to the Main Street Tellers and to Justin Tanner's Gumbo in the Other Category. The Peoples' Choice First Place winner for Chili is also the Main Street Tellers with Sabrina Keeton taking Second Place. In the Other Category, the Peoples' Choice First Place went to Tracie Travis for her Potato Soup. The Peoples' Choice Second Place in the Other Category ended in a tie between Autumn Malone's Santa Fe Soup and Justin Tanner's Gumbo. Congratulations to our winners and we greatly appreciate all of our participants! Plus we want to thank Tanarra Grissom for putting it all together!

Miss Something?

As in years past, we get asked about an old news articles or pictures (the Halloween costume pictures are quite popular) that were posted on the News and Announcements page from time to time.  The ease of access to those old articles is continuing in 2016 with the continuation of the News and Announcements Archival pages.  At the top of this page (News and Announcements) is a link to the News and Announcements archival page which has links to all the archived pages since 2007.  Click here, on the picture on the right, or on the link at the top of this page to see the News archives.  An archival page for 2016 will be built and made available as soon as practical.

Go For The Green

The Greenlight A Vet program is a national effort to recognize American's veterans who are "...some of our nation's bravest, hardest-working men and women. However, it's hard to show them the appreciation they deserve when, back home and out of uniform, they're more camouflaged than ever. Greenlight A Vet is a campaign to establish visible national support for our veterans by changing one light to green." Security Federal Savings Bank is proud of and thankful to our veterans and will be showing our support by displaying a green light at all three of our locations. Please join us in appreciation and support of the people who pay dearly for all of us to have our freedoms.

For more information, please click here or on the Greenlight logo to visit the Greenlight A Vet website.
