Where's My ID?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) maintains a website specifically geared toward identity theft prevention.  The FTC website is a one-stop national resource to learn about the crime of identity theft to help you deter, detect, and defend against identity theft.  On the site, consumers can learn how to avoid identity theft and learn what to do if their identity is stolen.  Businesses can learn how to help their customers deal with identity theft, as well as how to prevent problems in the first place.  And law enforcement can get resources and and learn how to help victims of identity theft.

Click here or on the picture to visit the Federal Trade Commission's Identity Theft website.  You can also click here to visit Security Federal's Customer Awareness page that has other useful information for protecting yourself from other types and forms of fraud.

Spoooooky!

Security Federal added a little twist to this year's Halloween.  Bank employees pitched in to make lunch for employees, friends, and family and raise money for Kids Of The Community to sponsor children for Christmas.  All told, the lunches raised over $280.00 and then Joe kicked in another $250.00!  Thanks to everyone that helped raise so much for those that need it so much.

Costumes?  Of course we continued the tradition of dressing up.  Click here or on the picture to the right to see photos from today's activities.

Doing Time

President and CEO Joe Pugh was honored for his thirty year anniversary as a Security Federal employee last Friday with a chili and hot dog picnic on the West Lawn.  Lots of friends, family, employees and customers stopped by to shake Joe's hand.  And the Silver and Gold Band played as well.  Click here or on the picture to the left to see photos from last Friday's picnic.

Starting in 1978, Joe has been a Teller, a Branch Manager, Collector, Loan Officer, and the Executive Vice-President.  Of all the changes Joe has seen here, he says technology has been the biggest development.  But it's the customers that he appreciates the most.

From the whole Security Federal crew...Congratulations Joe!  We're proud to have you with us!
