Cell Phone Fraud Alert

There is a scam that is attempting to get debit card PIN's and card numbers.  Many of our customers are getting automated message calls on their cell phones saying that their debit cards have been "locked-out" and to please press 1 to reactivate the card. After pressing 1, the recording continues to prompt for the Personal Identification Number and the card number.  The recording is referencing several banks in the area (Coffee County Bank, Peoples Bank, Security Federal Savings Bank, Bank of Manchester, etc) and may continue to expand to other financial institutions in the area.  Of course, DO NOT provide any protected personal information (like a PIN or a card number) to a recording.  Financial institutions do not utilize automated methods for retrieving or verifying customers personal information.
