Personnel Advancements

At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting last Thursday night, the Security Federal Savings Bank Board of Directors approved the promotion of two officers.

Kelly Basham, CNA started with Security Federal as a computer consultant back in 1995 until he was hired full time as the Information Technologies Officer in 2001.  A Certified Network Administrator, he has also earned two banking diplomas, supervisory certification, as well as additional certifications in basic and advanced network administration since joining the Bank’s ranks.  Now Kelly's title is Senior Vice-President/Information Technologies Officer.  He's been married for 34 years, has three children, fourteen grandchildren, and a great grandson due next month.  His hobbies include roller skating with his wife, hot rods, motorcycles, and airplanes.  He sits on the Main Street McMinnville Board of Directors, currently serving as the Board Secretary, and also sits as a Board member of the McMinnville Noon Exchange Club.

Michael D. Griffith joined Security Federal in 2008 as the Business Development Officer/Vice-President after being at another bank for about three years.  Already holding a Bachelor's of Science in Finance (Magna Cum Laude) from Tennessee Tech University, Michael has also completed the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and has become an instructor for the Southeastern School of Banking.  Now, Michael holds the title of Senior Vice-President.  He is a member of McMinnville Noon Rotary, Chairman of Local Workforce Investment of the Tennessee Labor and Workforce Development Board and a former member of the Tennessee Bankers Association Young Bankers Board of Directors.  Michael has been married for ten years and is an avid outdoorsman, hiking, kayaking, and hunting as often as he can.

Congratulations to these fine young gentlemen!

Goodnight, McMinnville!

Main Street LIVE! did it again with a great performance schedule!  There was a bit of disappointment with the weather raining out two and a half concerts (Entice's second hour was scuttled) back to back.  However, the Joe Harvey Band did get rescheduled for August 14th and went off without a hitch.  Help yourself to browse few pictures by clicking here to see pictures from the June performances and by clicking here or by clicking on the logo above to see some pictures from the July performances.

Security Federal Savings Bank is very proud to be a part of Main Street LIVE! and would like to thank all of the sponsors and everyone that helped to make this year's events so fantastic!

Security Federal's practically renowned BBQ cook-off team, Prime + 1, pulled in a People's Choice 2nd place showing for Troy McCormick's Kids in the Outdoors Day in the Best of The Butts competition.  We think they did great!
